Plate 1290X. Pasture Point 1934 – 2006 Viewed southeast down Pasture Wash from “Pasture Point” in Bryce Canyon National Park. Woody vegetation and forest fuels have increased dramatically. This includes ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, white fir, spruce, oakbrush, shinney-leaf manzanita, birchleaf mountain mahogany, and Utah serviceberry. Note the pinyon-juniper chainings on Sheep Creek Flat in the distance.
