Description:
Plate 420X. Paria River 1931 – 2004 Viewed north-northeast up the Paria River a few hundred yards above the mouth of Little Dry Valley. The channel has narrowed and a few tamarisk have become established. Wyoming big sage and rubber rabbitbrush have increased on the river terraces, but some sage has died during the recent drought. Pinyon and juniper have increased. The area was actively being grazed by cattle in 2004.
