North Creek

Description:

Plate 498X. North Creek 1938 – 2004 Viewed north-norhtwest to the dam on North Creek. The initial image was made shortly after the original dam failed. The dam has since been rebuilt. Dense riparian vegetation now blocks the original camera station, so the retake was made from the nearest open area. Willows, cottonwoods, and river birch have increased, despite yearly grazing by cattle. Tamarisk and Russian olive are also absent.
