Description:

Plate 122 MEADOW CREEK: 1951 - 1999 This view is at the head of Meadow Creek toward White Pine Peak. The area was contour trenched and seeded in 1951. The 1999 photo shows a new road built to access the radio towers and microwave stations on White Pine Peak. Conifers on the peak are primarily limber pine (Pinus flexilis). The darker colored deciduous shrubs are current (Ribes sp.). Mountain big sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata vaseyana) appears more abundant in the 1999 photo than in 1951.
