McDonald Basin




Plate 207. MCDONALD BASIN 1959-2000 Viewed northeast across Lake Creek and McDonald Basin. Aspen has increased along the stream where it is protected from browsing by steep, near-vertical, banks. Pinyon and juniper have increased. The taller shrubs on this side of Lake Creek are Utah serviceberry, which were heavily browsed in the original and the retake.
