Description:

Plate 85. JOHNSON VALLEY RESERVOIR: 1962 - 1999 The pool height of the reservoir increased between 1962 and 1999. The 1962 photo was taken in late fall when the aspen (Populus tremuloides) was leafless. By 1999 conifers appear to have increased on the distant hillside while aspen (Populus tremuloides) declined. Most of the aspen stands have been invaded by conifers.
