Plate 857X. Johnson Canyon 1907 – 2005 Viewed northeast to Mark Point (6,321 ft.) in Johnson Canyon. The road has been widened, paved, and a new bridge built over Johnson Wash. This is just above the mouth of Skutumpah Canyon. To the right of the road in the foreground is a lava intrusion. Pinyon and juniper have increased. Oakbrush has increased around the lava - - lower photo right.
