Grass Valley

Plate 685X. Grass Valley 1948 – 2004 Viewed northeast across Grass Valley. In 1944, the area was root-plowed and reseeded with crested wheatgrass to improve range conditions. Today, however, the area is dominated by mountain big sage. Pinyon and juniper have increased in the distance.
