1999

Description:

Plate 67. GRADE HILL: ca. 1930 - 1999 Adjacent to Utah Highway 153. The wooden fence shown in 1930 was replaced by 1999 with a new fence built on a slightly different alignment, creating a difference in perspective between the two photos. Sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata) and conifers are more abundant in the 1999 photo, and aspen (Populus tremuloides) has declined. Some of the aspen, however has regenerated. The area in the foreground of the 1999 photo was disturbed by construction on Highway 153.
