Plate 1260X. East Creek 1947 – 2006 Viewed northeast up the North Fork of East Creek in Bryce Canyon National Park. This image is similar to Plate 1259x but the original image was taken 2 years later during a flood event. The road has been realigned, widened, and paved. The check dams appear to have worked and there is no evidence of recent erosional events. Ponderosa pine has increased. Shrubs have increased including bitterbrush, black sage, and rubber rabbitbrush. The road has been realigned, widened, and paved.
