Plate 304X. East Creek 1950 - 2003 This is a close-up of the skid trail seen in Plate 303x at the mouth of East Creek on the Paunsaugunt Plateau. This area was logged in 1946. Nevertheless, ponderosa pine and juniper have increased. The low-growing shrubs are mostly bitterbrush with some mountain big sage. Greenleaf manzanita is also present, as is needle and thread. The site has naturally revegetated and was not reseeded by the Forest Service.
