Description:

Plate 658X. Central, Utah 1950 – 2004 Viewed north across the private valley bottom northeast of Central, Utah. Pinyon and juniper have increased on the hillsides, which are part of the Dixie National Forest. The seeding in the foreground is mostly intermediate and tall wheatgrass (Agropyron elongatum). Part of the seeding had recently been tilled in the retake.
