Description:

Plate 1073X. Cameron Wash 1952 – 2005 Viewed southeast across upper Cameron Wash south of Rock Canyon. The 1952 image was made shortly after the foreground had been root-plowed and reseeded with smooth brome and crested wheatgrass by the Forest Service to improve range conditions. Today, three-tipped sage, mountain big sage, and rubber rabbitbrush have invaded the seeding. Pinyon, juniper, ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, and spruce have increased in distance, as have snowberry, currant, Utah serviceberry, and bitterbrush.
