Description:
Plate 1124X. Brian Head 1938 – 2005 Viewed northeast to Brian Head (11,307 ft.) from Mammoth Summit. The area is more vegetated today than it was in the past despite yearly use by livestock. There also appears to be less soil erosion. The site was actively being grazed by domestic sheep in 2005. Conifers appear unchanged except that many of the older spruce were recently killed by insects and disease.
