Description:

Plate 1132X. Brian Head 1938 – 2005 Viewed south-southwest across the head of Mammoth Creek from Brian Head. Utah Highway 143 and the gravel road to Brian Head are visible in the retake. Conifers have increased, but many of the mature spruce were recently killed by insect and disease. Some of the bug-killed spruce has been salvaged logged. The cliffs in the distance are part of Cedar Breaks National Monument.
