Conifers have increased and ponderosa pine has invaded the meadow. Aspen has declined. The meadow was root-plowed and reseeded with smooth brome and intermediate wheatgrass some time before the original image was made. Silver sage has increased. Many of the older spruce in the distance were recently killed by insects and disease. The area was actively being grazed by cattle in 2006. The vehicles are on the road to Yankee Meadows Reservoir.
