Antelope Spring

Plate 317X. Antelope Spring 1960 - 2003 Viewed south to Antelope Spring on the Awapa Plateau. The area was fenced to exclude livestock in 1974. The aspen clone on the left regenerated about 30 years ago when mule deer numbers were low (Kay and Bartos 2000), while the one on the right did not. Mountain big sage and silver sage have increased, as have sedges and rushes around the spring. Rubber rabbitbrush is also present.
