Biography

Jeremy’s land-based work began with his study of small-scale organic farming, from the intermountain west to the arid inland plains of Maharashtra, India. From farming Jeremy transitioned to the supply side of local food initiatives, working in Bozeman Montana at a local food distribution hub before moving to Moab, Utah where – after an internship in natural building – he worked with USU Extension Sustainability on a Local Foods Program (Farm Chef Fork) and Permaculture Initiative. Continued studies led him to start his own business, focused on ecological design and regenerative project management.

As Permaculture and Sustainability Intern between 2013 and 2015, Jeremy coordinated the USU Moab Rain Gardens project out of the Office of Sustainable Communities. Working alongside program founder Roslynn Brain and Permaculture Designer Jason Gerhardt (Real Earth Design), he coordinated and co-taught a series of hands-on workshops covering the design and implementation of the USU Moab Permaculture Rain Gardens.
