Day one of the workshop included an all-day training, where participants learned to break down traditional thought patterns, open their perceptions to design possibilities, and learn key aspects of permacultural design. Joel Glanzberg, an expert and author in the fields of permaculture and ecological restoration, facilitated this training. On day two, participants helped implement permaculture rain gardens.
The training cost was $25 dollars for adults, $15 dollars for students.
Logan Workshop
Register for Logan’s Permaculture Workshop from September 27-28, 2013. In Logan’s Permaculture Workshop, not only will you learn about permaculture from a leading national expert, but you will be among a group of people to implement Utah’s first campus permaculture garden!
On September 27, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., learn about permaculture concepts and design in an all day training at the Livery Stable building in the American West Heritage Center (bring your own lunch).
On September 28, 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m., help implement Utah’s first campus permaculture garden at the Nutrition Dietetics and Food Sciences building on USU’s Campus. Come dressed to be outside all day, and be prepared to get dirty! Snacks will be provided, but bring your own lunch. Register for Logan’s permaculture workshop.

Moab Workshop
Register for Moab’s Permaculture Workshop from September 30-October 1, 2013. In Moab’s Permaculture Workshop, not only will you learn about permaculture from a leading national expert, but you will help implement a permaculture rain garden at a Community Rebuilds strawbale home!
The all day permaculture training will take place September 30, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the USU Moab Campus main classroom. The campus is located at 125 West 200 South Moab Utah 84532.
On October 1 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., help implement a permaculture garden at a Community Rebuilds strawbale home. Come dressed to be outside all day, and be prepared to get dirty! Directions to the garden site will be provided on September 30.
