Lesson topics include understanding where food comes from, how food waste impacts the environment, and methods to reduce food waste in school and home environments.
Additional Experiential Activities
Additional activities and resources based on the curriculum can be found here. These activities can replace or supplement the ones already provided in each lesson.
Wasteless Recipe Videos
Check out these video tutorials that walk through several simple recipes that can be made at home! These wasteless recipes use parts of food, like peels or stems, that people typically throw away, and transforms them into delicious meals. Although these efforts may appear insignificant, they allow food to be used in its entirety and lessen food waste and food insecurity.
