Lightning Talks provide a dynamic platform for students and faculty to share innovative ideas and impactful work in a fast-paced, engaging format. Each 10- to 12-minute talk can highlight your research, student club initiatives, teaching methods, or community-engaged project that contributes to effective interventions for improving food security. This session is an opportunity to exchange ideas, spark collaboration, and inspire action toward sustainable solutions. Whether presenting emerging research, creative outreach efforts, or novel education strategies, participants will contribute to a broader conversation on strengthening food security through innovation and engagement.

Lightning Talks Details & Guidelines

All talks must be registered using the form.
Lightning Talks will begin at 12:30pm in the ECC auditorium.
Talks should be between 10-12 minutes long.
There is no time allocated for Question and Answer with audience members. Presenters should answer questions in the hallway after the Talks.
Presenters must submit all media slides as a PDF to Palak Gupta by April 15. The slides will be uploaded prior to the start of the Talks session. The Symposium committee will set the order.
Presenters can give more than one Lightning Talk as long as they are on different topics.
