With 50 states, the U.S is full of honeymoon destinations. That’s a good thing, right? That’s what you’d think! With so many places to choose from it, it can be hard to know where to begin and how to decide which destination is best for you and your spouse. Lucky for you, I did some digging to do part of the research and elimination process for you! You’re welcome! Below, you'll find a handpicked list of ten stunning, fun, and romantic places to honeymoon across the U.S. Whether you're dreaming of a cozy mountain escape or a sun-soaked beach retreat, there's something here for every couple. Go ahead and read through the list and see if one of them catches your eye!

Sedona, Arizona

 Sedona is famous for its stunning red rock formations and tranquil environment. Its atmosphere is great for relaxation! If you and your significant other are looking for a relaxing place to spend time together, this could be the place for you. Honeymoon in Sedona and enjoy luxury resorts, spas, and romantic drives through the beautiful landscapes. My cousin recently visited Sedona, and she absolutely loved it!

Stowe, Vermont

I’ve never been to Vermont, much to my dismay, because ever since I watched “White Christmas, I’ve been determined to make it there one day! Disclaimer: I know the movie is not actually filmed in Vermont, but it still had that effect on me! Stowe is a picturesque village known for its ski slopes! Stowe offers beautiful fall colors, cozy inns, and excellent hiking trails. Along with all the outdoor activities, it hosts many opportunities to relax. If you can’t decide if you want a nature themed or relaxed filled honeymoon, this could be a great compromise!

Key West, Florida

If you’re looking to stay on the mainland but still have a romantic tropical experience, Key West is a great option! It has awesome beaches that can be explored during the day and used for intimate sunset walks at night. I’m feeling mega romance movie vibes with Key West! If you’re looking for an intimate, warm honeymoon destination, keep Key West in mind. 

Savannah, Georgia

If you’re more into a chill, relaxing honeymoon, Savannah could be just what you’re looking for! With its historic charm, beautiful squares, and Southern hospitality, Savannah provides a romantic and relaxing escape. This could be the perfect place to spend your first few days as a married couple! 

Bar Harbor, Maine

Nestled on Mount Desert Island, Bar Harbor offers stunning coastal views, charming shops, and is near Acadia National Park! A little over two years ago, I had the opportunity to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, and it’s since become one of my favorite areas. It’s a cozy town with lots of romantic opportunities! My husband has never been, and I would love to go back with him. I think it would make a fantastic romantic getaway. 

Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada

This destination offers a variety of land and water activities. If you love to spend time hiking, biking or kayaking as a couple, you could really thrive in this place! Although it offers a lot of opportunities to go, go, go it also hosts many opportunities for relaxing. From mountainside spas to lakeside beaches, Lake Tahoe is a destination for many. This is a perfect place if you like diversity from day to day. You can choose to play hard in the mountains or the lake one day and then take a slow day and enjoy each other’s company!

Charleston, South Carolina

This town is a blend of hospitality, history and beauty. Charleston can be a great backdrop for a romantic honeymoon. You have a historic downtown, inns, beaches, carriage rides and so much to set the mood for a fantastic honeymoon. I think honeymooning on the East Coast is so romantic! It gives off Hallmark vibes, and who doesn’t want a Hallmark romance?  

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Is there anything as romantic as beautiful art? The answer to that question probably depends on who you’re talking too, but I'll tell you this, a beautiful piece of art gets me!  If you’re a couple that loves art, or even if just one of you has a passion for it, don’t overlook Sante Fe. Santa Fe offers a blend of art galleries that could be so fun to explore together. Along with its art galleries, Santa Fe is known for its unique Southwestern charm, historic sites, and relaxing spas. 

Glacier National Park, Montana

If you’re a National Park kind of couple this could be a fantastic honeymoon destination! It’s a breathtaking place with views you will want to remember. A few years ago, my family and I visited Glacier, and it’s since become a family favorite. It’s absolutely stunning! You can even spend a day exploring on the Canadian side of the park and cross another country off your travel bucket list.

Lincoln, New Hampshire

Located in the heart of the White Mountains, Lincoln offers stunning mountain views, outdoor activities, and the scenic Kancamagus Highway. When my family and I were traveling from Boston to Maine, we drove through New Hampshire. I was taken back by the beauty, and that was just from what I could see from the car window. There were so many trees! If you are an adventurous couple who loves to spend time together outdoors, this could be a great place to create some honeymoon memories.
