Everyday Ways to Save

It's easy to spend, spend, spend, but are you making sure to save, save, save for yourself?
Saving for retirement, a dream vacation, holiday spending, or building a savings account for emergencies,
can be done with these few savings suggestions:money in different jars

  1. Set up an automatic savings through your paycheck deposit or a recurring transfer after getting paid.
It is easier when you don't have to think about it, and making it the first thing out of your paycheck
makes it #1 priority. Do some math and start where you can, even if it is $5.
  2. Next time you get a raise or bonus or work a couple more hours than normal, save that money towards
    your goal.
  3. Pack a lunch to work more often and put the money you save from eating out into savings.
  4. For family activities or date nights, spend free time outside at a park or hiking. Put the money you would
have spent on entertainment into your savings account.
  5. Get the whole family involved in your savings goal and brainstorm ways your family can reach your
    financial goals.
