Everyday Ways to Save
It's easy to spend, spend, spend, but are you making sure to save, save, save for yourself?
Saving for retirement, a dream vacation, holiday spending, or building a savings account for emergencies,
can be done with these few savings suggestions:
- Set up an automatic savings through your paycheck deposit or a recurring transfer after getting paid.
It is easier when you don't have to think about it, and making it the first thing out of your paycheck
makes it #1 priority. Do some math and start where you can, even if it is $5. - Next time you get a raise or bonus or work a couple more hours than normal, save that money towards
your goal. - Pack a lunch to work more often and put the money you save from eating out into savings.
- For family activities or date nights, spend free time outside at a park or hiking. Put the money you would
have spent on entertainment into your savings account. - Get the whole family involved in your savings goal and brainstorm ways your family can reach your
financial goals.
