Mike Pace is an Extension Professor of Horticulture & Agronomy and the Box Elder County Director at Utah State University Extension. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education (Animal Science) and a Master of Science in Extension Education, both from Utah State University.

With decades of experience in northern Utah’s agricultural sector, Mike has developed expertise in managing horticulture and agronomy programs including fruit and nut production, cover crops, and nutrient management strategies. He holds both private and non-commercial pesticide applicator licenses through the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food.

In his role, Mike oversees extension programming that supports growers, gardeners, and agricultural entrepreneurs across Box Elder County and beyond—translating research into practical guidance, developing curricula, publishing fact sheets and articles, and delivering workshops in orchard production, soil fertility, and integrated pest management.

His dedication to empowering the next generation of producers and his hands-on approach make him a valued resource for anyone looking to grow fruit, nut or agronomic crops in the unique climate of northern Utah.
