Teaching Interests

My experience working with industry has given me the unique insight of approaching education and training from the perspective of the client or those who hire our students. In my role as Director of the UMES, I look for ways to incorporate students into both design and continuous improvement events with manufacturing clients. My focus has always been in the areas of design and applying continuous improvement activities which help companies to expand into new products or processes, as well as improving overall production efficiencies. I believe these real world experiences help to prepare our students to hit the ground running when obtaining their first job after graduation.
