Biography

Roslynn McCann is an Associate Professor, Sustainable Communities Extension Specialist. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Florida with a major in Extension Education, minor in Environmental Education.

Teaching Interests

Roslynn teaches ENVS 4700, Communicating Sustainability and has taught ENVS 5570, Sustainable Living. These are community engaged learning classes empowering students to foster environmental change throughout communities. Enthusiasm, approachability, and credibility are central values in her teaching.

Research Interests

Applying behavioral theory to explain and predict environmental behavior change, then influencing change via social marketing techniques. USU Extension Sustainability involves outreach on air quality, climate change, water conservation, land conservation, landfill issues, sustainable and local food initiatives, and renewable and efficient energy.
