H2Oath Scholarship Winners Announced!
The Utah Division of Water Resources’ (UDWRe) launched the H2Oath campaign to make individuals aware of the small commitments they can make that can have substantial impact on water savings. UDWRe upped the ante, and instigated school rivalries with $5000 in scholarship money for H2Oath ‘Water Wars’. Participants selected their favorite Utah college or university as they pledged their commitment to water conservation. The game was close and there was a lot of back and forth, but USU pulled ahead and won the competition!
With the money, Utah State University created 2 undergraduate student scholarships for $1,000 each, and 2 graduate student scholarships for $1,500 each. The purpose of the scholarships is to encourage both undergraduate and graduate students to pursue careers and studies in water conservation. Applicants were asked to creatively communicate the importance of water conservation through any type of media, including-but not limited to-videos, songs, dance, essays, posters, artwork, etc. Thank you to all who participated-we had some excellent submissions!
