Pasture Yield Estimator Tool

This tool describes how to use a rising plate meter to estimate the yield of pastures. This can provide a rapid and accurate way to quantify the forage yield available to aid in making grazing decisions. Users will enter readings from a rising plate meter, which will then be converted to pasture yield in pounds per acre by utilizing calibration equations developed by USU Extension and the USDA Forage and Range Lab.
