Strategy & Consulting at the Center for Rural Economic Development & Emerging Technologies provides tailored, data-driven support to help Utah’s communities plan, implement, and sustain meaningful economic growth. Working directly with municipal leaders, county commissioners, and public-sector decision makers, our team partners with communities to develop competitive grant proposals, craft comprehensive economic development strategies, and deliver informed planning grounded in robust data collection and analysis. We support workforce training and talent pipeline development aligned with regional industry needs, guide broadband planning and digital skills initiatives, strengthen entrepreneurship and small business ecosystems, and offer impact evaluation and reporting to demonstrate results and inform future investment. Through inclusive community engagement and professional facilitation, we help local leaders align vision, resources, and action—ensuring strategies are practical, measurable, and built for long-term success.
