2024 Summer Camp Schedule

Box Elder County 4-H offers something for all ages and interests! Some of our camps are open to the general public, while others are for 4-H members only. This means registration processes and fees may vary. We're happy to answer any questions: Call the 4-H office at 435-695-2542.

Please note grades follow the 4-H year and reflect the youths grade as of September 1, 2023.

Registration Policy & Process: Until payment is received, camp registration is considered incomplete and no reservation will be held. Upon payment, participants will receive a confirmation email (check your junk mail). Registration cancellations within 72 hours prior to camp are not eligible for refund.

This 2 day camp full of everything Horse. For 4-H youth with Horses who want more practice. The 1^st day is half day in the afternoon with no horses we will enjoy guest speakers, education and crafts. Day 2 is all on horseback with practice from show events to get youth prepared for show season. Helmet required for riding.

Get your hands dirty with this interactive day camp. We will spend the day in a kitchen developing life skills and building an appreciation for the culinary arts as we learn basic cooking skills in the oven, microwave, and stove top.

We will be starting at Petersen Park in Elwood. We will then canoe down the Bear River to Hansen Park (9180 N River Road). This is where you will need to be picked up. Canoeing makes for a fun day. This class fills quickly. Wear sunblock, bring a hat, water shoes, and water bottle.

This camp is designed for youth who want to learn more about the great outdoors. The youth will be able to canoe, water safety, outdoor education and more.

This two day camp will cover all things outdoors. Join us as we dive into the study of water quality, learn the skill of firestarting, and enjoy some time on the water in canoes.

This two day camp will allow youth to create their own projects to take home! Beginners will learn basic sewing skills by creating a beach towel tote.

For youth wanting to learn more about Horses. No horses required to attend this camp. Learn about different horse events, horse anatomy and horse equipment. Every participant will have an opportunity to ride a horse under supervision.

Jump start your interest in science! Our county STEAM ambassadors will help the attending youth learn STEM concepts. Snacks will also be provided.

STEM summer camps and courses teach skills for bright futures in science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and engaging setting. Camp will include take home activities and snacks will be provided.

July 18th

The youth will build and fly chuck gliders, learn about aviation, and have larger drone demos. You will be able to keep the chuck glider and a small quad copter. Lunch will be provided. Hat, sunscreen, and water bottles are recommended. Youth aged 10 must have a parent attend. All parents can come at 3:30 to watch the youth do the last activity.
