4-H Summer Camps In Box Elder County

Box Elder County 4-H offers something for all ages and interests! Some of our camps are open to the general public, while others are for 4-H members only. This means registration processes may vary. To enroll in 4-H click "sign up" on our online registration page Zsuites. If you are having any trouble, feel free to call our office at 435-695-2542. We will be happy to get you signed up and kick start your Summer adventures with 4-H. All the camps listed below are opportunities within Box Elder County. If you are looking to expand your 4-H experience to statewide camps, we encourage you to check out the Utah 4-H website and find your spark!
Registration Policy & Process: Until payment is received, camp registration is considered incomplete and no reservation will be held. Upon payment, participants will receive a confirmation email (check your junk mail). Registration cancellations within 72 hours prior to camp are not eligible for refund. 


Western Horse Camp

When: June 2nd and 3rd 
Where: Bear River City Park and Arena 
Who: 3rd-12th graders in the 4-H Western Horse Program, or those interested in getting involved. 
Cost: $28 (This camp is for 4-H members only) To enroll in 4-H, see top of page. 

Camp Description: This 2 day camp full of everything Horse. For 4-H youth with Horses who want more practice. The 1st day is half day in the afternoon with guest speakers, education and crafts. Day 2 is all on horseback with practice from show events, cow work , speed events and more. Helmet required for riding.

Junior Outdoor Camp

Where: Willard Bay Pond
Who: 3rd-5th Graders

Camp Description: This camp is designed for youth who want to learn more about the great outdoors. The youth will be able to canoe, learn to identify animal tracks, water safety and more.

Youth Outdoor Camp

Who: 5th-12th  Graders 
Cost: $25 

Camp Description:  Our 2 day camp will cover all things outdoors. Join us as we dive into the study of water quality, explore outdoor cooking, and enjoy some time on the water in canoes.

Cooking Camp

Camp Description: Get your hands dirty with this interactive day camp. We will spend the day in a kitchen developing life skills and building an appreciation for the culinary arts.

Food Science Camp

Canoe Camp

When: June 16th from 9am - noon
Where: Peterson Park
Who: 6th -12th Graders 
Cost: Free (This camp is for 4-H members only) To enroll in 4-H, see top of page. 

Camp Description: We will be starting at Petersen Park in Elwood. We will then canoe down the Bear River to Hansen Park (9180 N River Road).  This is where you will need to be picked up. Canoeing makes for a fun day. This class fills quickly.  Wear sunblock, bring a hat, water shoes, and water bottle.

I Wish I Had a Horse Camp

When: July 14th from 9am - noon
Where: Bear River City Park
Who: 3rd - 12th Graders 
Cost: $25

Camp Description: This is a half day camp for youth who want to ride but don't have a horse. Youth will participate in workshops about horse equipment, feed, grooming and speed events. Each participant will make a horse craft and of course, they will experience getting in the saddle as they ride horseback.

Sewing Camp -Beginers

When: July 18th & 19th from 10am-12:30pm
Where: USU Brigham Campus 
Who: Cloverbud + (all ages) 
Cost: $5

Camp Description: We will be making a fish bag! These bags can be used as a drawstring backpack, laundry bag, or swim bag. This two day camp is a great intro to sewing. Youth will need to provide a sewing machine or rent one from the 4-H Office. For beginner sewing we ask attendees to bring an adult helper, and basic sewing kit, and fabric for the project. The Second day of sewing camp will be a neat opportunity to participate in a sewing service project as a way to give back. The second day sewing service project is open house style from 10am-3:30pm.

Sewing Camp- Intermediate & Advanced

Who: 3rd-12th Grade  
Cost: $5

Camp Description: We will be making Bucket Hats! This two day camp is a great for intermediate & advanced sewing. Youth will need to provide a sewing machine or rent one from the 4-H Office. We ask attendees to bring an adult helper, and basic sewing kit, and fabric for the project. The Second day of sewing camp will be a neat opportunity to participate in a sewing service project as a way to give back. The second day sewing service project is open house style from 10am-3:30pm.

3D Printing Camp

When: July 17TH -19TH
Where: Online
Who: 3rd-12th Grade  
Cost: $5

Camp Description: This online class will teach youth to create a 3D design in an online program  while following along on with an online instructor. Participant designs will be printed in the 4-H office and youth will be able to pick up and take home. This is a multi-county camp.

S.T.E.M. Camp

Where: Tremonton Public Works Building 
Who: 3rd-5th Grade  
Cost: $10 (This camp is for 4-H members only) To enroll in 4-H, see top of page. 

Camp Description: STEM summer camps and courses teach skills for bright futures in science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and engaging setting. The theme for this year is Allice in Wonderland. Camp will include take home activities and snacks will be provided.

Cloverbud S.T.E.M. Camp

Who: K-2nd Grade

Camp Description: Jump start your interest in science! Youth will learn STEM concepts, and do crafts, within our STEM and Allice in Wonderland theme. Snacks will also be provided.

Pet Show

When: Aug 8th
Where: Box Elder County Fairgrounds
Who: 3rd-12th Grade  
Cost: Free (This event is for 4-H members only) To enroll in 4-H, see top of page. 

Camp Description: The 4-H Pet Show is designed to enable youth with a passion for companion animals to show case their skills and knowledge about pet care, as well as show off their pets to an audience. The Pet Show consists of a pre-made display and presentation on a skill or technique specific to their pet, as well as the opportunity to talk to the public about their companion animal. Junior Drone Camp

When: August 10 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Where: USU Brigham City Campus
Who: 10-13 year olds
Cost: $60


Camp Description: Build and fly chuck gliders. Small aviation-based classes. Larger drone demos. You will get to keep the drone. Lunch will be provided. Hat, sunscreen, and water bottles are recommended. Youth ages 10 & 11 require parents to attend. All parents are invited to the last 30 minutes to watch the youth do the last activity

Drone Camp

When: August 9 from 8:30am - 4:00 pm
Where: USU Brigham City Campus
Who: 14-18 year olds 
Cost: $60


Camp Description: Build and fly chuck gliders. Small aviation-based classes. Larger drone demos. You will get to keep the drone. Lunch will be provided. Hat, sunscreen, and water bottles are recommended. Parents are encouraged to come at 3:30 to watch the youth compete in the last activity. Youth from this camp are welcome to come the second day to Junior camp to be “flight captains” and help the juniors with their activities.
