2024 Camp Schedule & Themes

Tuesday, February 20:
Greatest Snow on Earth

It’s safe to say there’s snow place on Earth quite like Utah! From blower powder days to providing most of our drinking water, snow is essential in our state. Campers will discover what makes Utah’s snow special as we explore lake effect snowstorms, investigate snowpack, and play in the snow.

Wednesday, February 21:
Winter in the Wild

Become a winter warrior as we take on the harsh conditions of the outdoors! We won’t leave you on thin ice as we explore the basics of snow shelters, snow safety, and navigation. Campers will go from surviving to thriving in the snow by the end of this adventurous day!

Thursday, February 22:
Critters of the Cold

Bundle up and prepare to take a walk on the wild side! Although the idea of staying out in the cold all winter may seem unbearable to you, some of our local animals are as busy as beavers all season long! Identify signs of animals on the Preserve, investigate how animals have adapted to survive winter, and discover how fauna avoid being ice-olated through the harshest season of the year!

Friday, February 23:
Secrets of Snow

Grab a magnifying glass and come prepared to explore the science of snow! Campers will spend time investigating different types of snowflakes, discover why animals live under the snow, and explore the benefits snow provides to both nature and humans.
