What is Basecamp?

Basecamp brings together a mix of outdoor recreation researchers, gateway community planners, state and federal agency staff, and local officials to collaborate on solutions to the most pressing outdoor recreation and gateway community issues in the American West.

Bringing research and management together

Each track at Basecamp features a mix of plenaries, panel discussions, research and management presentations, field visits, and facilitated discussions.

Two tracks to suit your needs

The week-long gathering is organized around two tracks - one focused on outdoor recreation management and one focused on gateway community planning. You can register for one, or both, depending upon your interests and availability.
