EDUCATION: 1988 MS Plant Science-Crop Management, Utah State University, Thesis: ...alfalfa quality & maturity...; 1986 BS Plant Science-Agronomy, Utah State University, 1982 AAS Building Construction, Utah Valley University. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 2009-present Sevier County Extension Agent 65% & Area Agricultural Economic Development 35%. 2001-09 Area Extension Agent Agricultural Economic Development, Southwest Region. 2000-01 Sevier County Extension Agent 70% & Area Agricultural Economic Development 30%. 1997-00 Area Extension Agent, Agricultural Economic Development. 1997 Extension Associate Professor, Tenured, Utah State University; 1988-97 Millard County Extension Agent. MAJOR PROGRAMS: Noxious Weed Control, Alfalfa Hay Marketing "Bring the Cows to the Feed". PERSONAL: Wife Cindy Gale, six children, five grandchildren, Interests: gardening, fishing, hunting, photography and family outdoor activities.
Teaching Interests
PERSONAL CAREER OBJECTIVE: Extend the educational resources of Utah State University. Make a contribution, through education, to the quality of life of the people of Utah. 1. Serve the educational needs of the citizens of Sevier County, based on identified priority needs, in agronomy and horticultural (residential and commercial ). 2. Develop and implement Extension economic development programs in agriculture and natural resources in the Southern Region, based on identified priority needs, to sustaining the economic viability of families, businesses and communities.
