Shooting Sports


Weber County 4-H Shooting Sports Program provides a wide range of opportunities for 4-H youth to learn firearm safety, build new skills, and have fun in a safe, supervised environment. Youth have an opportunity to receive rank advancements and awards. There is also opportunity for friendly competition.

Two clubs offered in the 2024 season - Beginner and Advanced* (*must have taken Beginner before enrolling in Advanced)

4-H Introduction to Range Safety and Shooting Sports Small Bore Rifle

Open to any youth in grades 3rd-12th interested in joining 4-H Shooting Sports

Thursdays from 6pm-8:30pm at the Weber County Shooting Sports Complex, 2446 Rulon White Blvd, Ogden UT 84404

Age Requirements & Divisions:

Youth MUST be age 8 AND in 3rd grade to participate in shooting sports. Youth turning 8 AND in 3rd grade may participate after their 8th birthday during the 4-H year. 

Divisions

  • Junior 4-H Members 3rd through 5th Grade
  • Intermediate 4-H Members 6th through 8th Grade
  • Senior 4-H Members 9th through 12th Grade 

Grade Eligibility Guidelines for Contests:
County Contest: Grades 3 - 12
State Contest (State 4-H Shooting Sports): Grades 3 - 12
National Contest (National Shooting Sports): Grades 9 - 12
