Vegetables4-H Junior Master Gardener Program

Wayne County 4-H youth have been working hard on the community garden in Bicknell.  The youth and leaders have planted five raised bed garden boxes.  These boxes contain a variety of vegetables including tomatoes, corn, peas, carrots, radish, cabbage, and squash. In addition to planting, they have also learned about different soils, weed management, and composting.

Youth participating in the Junior Master Gardner class are Ruger Torgerson, Brandon Oyler, Lance Oyler, Rebecca Oyler, Rachel White, Rebecca White, Kailee Blackburn, Jaden Blackburn, C.J. Torgerson and Riley Cook.

Thanks to Gloria Lemmon our adult volunteer and teen leaders Victoria Sorenson and Megan Sorenson.

The 4-H Junior Master Gardener class meets at 10am each Tuesday and Thursday at the USU Distance Education building in Bicknell. The class will continue to meet through August 11, 2009.  Stop by sometime and see their hard work!
