A Campbell Scientific CS450 pressure transducer is used to measure water depth. The pressure transducer is located in a stilling well at the site. The stilling well maintains the same water level as the river because of a pipe in the well that allows water from the river to enter and exit. The pressure transducer calculates how deep the water is based on how much pressure the water puts on the sensor. Water level is measured every 5 minutes. These data are then averaged every half hour and that number is reported to the datalogger.
