Dr. Fraser is an Associate Professor/Food Safety Education Specialist in the Department of Food Science at Clemson University. She has a 100% Extension appointment. Her Extension programming focuses on food safety for retail food establishments, consumer food safety, and home food preservation. Dr. Fraser has worked in the area of food safety education since 1987, having held government, teaching, and Extension positions. She received her B.S. in Dietetics in 1984, an M.S. in Institutional Administration in 1987, and a Ph.D. in Food Science in 1995. All of her degrees were earned at Michigan State University. Before coming to NC State University in 1995, she worked as an Extension Specialist at Michigan State University and was an Adjunct Instructor in the School of Public Health, University of Michigan. Before earning her Ph.D., Dr. Fraser worked as an Environmental Health Specialist for six years in the State of Michigan.
