Biography

Sydney has known that she wanted to work in the animal industry since age 14, when she decided she was going to become an Animal Control Officer. In high school, she completed an internship with Animal Care of Davis County. She was hired in 2016 as a Shelter Technician, made her way up to Animal Control Officer, became the interim Adoption Specialist, and was then promoted to Shelter Services Supervisor in late 2019. During her time as an ACO, she received the UACOA Officer of the Year award. Sydney has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Weber State University. When not at the shelter, she spends her time with her pit bull (adopted from ACDC in 2013) and kitties. She loves to surround herself with animals and is very dedicated to her position at ACDC.
