Summary: This mail-back survey was designed to gather a broad range of information from 2001 Great Salt Lake Bird Festival visitors for use by Great Salt Lake Bird Festival planners, Davis County Department of Community and Economic Development, and the state of Utah. The mail-back survey contained questions designed to find out about specific demographic information, what Festival participants knew about Davis County and the purpose of the Festival, their motivations for attending, their satisfaction regarding different aspects of the Festival, their spending while in Davis County, and their Festival attendance as a birder.

Summary: Reports the results of an intercept survey designed to gather demographic and other information about festival and field trip participants at the Great Salt Lake Bird Festival 2001. The survey generated information about where participants learned about the festival, who they attended with, their attitudes and opinions on certain topics, and their willingness to participate in a more extensive mail-back survey conducted after the festival. Results will be useful for Davis County Department of Community and Economic Development and Great Salt Lake Bird Festival organizers in the management of the festival.
