    Research Collaborations

We are partnering with teams nationwide in order to bring you the best in health research and interventions. In addition to the work happening here at Utah State University, we are actively working with University of Wisconsin-Madison, UC-Dominguez Hills, and Xavier University. Evidence of the effectiveness of mindfulness based stressed reduction (MBSR) in improving health and well-being has been growing for more than thirty years. However, we do not yet know how this training impacts health care utilization patterns. This interdisciplinary team is conducting cutting-edge biostatistical analyses to better measure how MBSR affects how patients access care.

National Research Coalition on Improving Campus Sexual Assault Responsiveness

with UC Dominguez Hills & Xavier University

The Clery Act mandates that college campuses send timely warning notices in the event of sexual assault or other crimes that pose an immediate danger to the campus community. Our team is comprised of a psychologist, communications expert, professor of public health, sociologist, and information specialist who are working together to analyze and improve how college handle sexual assault communications, particularly for underrepresented and vulnerable groups. We are in the process of collecting and analyzing communications data from a national stratified random sample of colleges and universities, which we are comparing to reporting rates, in order to present findings of best practices.
