2024 SUMMIT FOCUS
This year’s summit will focus on free-roaming equid interactions with wildlife. A blend of scientific talks, field experiences, and facilitated groups will work to connect wildlife, conservation, and wild horse and burro management interests. The 2024 FREES Summit is sure to provide a rewarding, educational and professional atmosphere to interact with peers and make new connections. Join us in Elko, Nevada this April and be a part of the efforts to improve habitats for all.

The FREES Summit will feature posters that will be displayed throughout the event with a designated session for presenters to interact with Summit participants. Submit your abstract for a poster today!

Our purpose is to develop stakeholder-based comprehensive communication strategies and processes to manage free-roaming equids in concert with other public lands multiple-use objectives to achieve western rangeland ecosystem sustainability.  All of this information will be used to continue to develop action plans towards our goal of Healthy Herds on Healthy Rangelands. 
FREES seeks to enhance communication and engage diverse stakeholder groups in meaningful dialogue as we work together.
