Art. Heal. Create

ART. HEAL. CREATE. Monthly art series is open to all individuals. This program was designed to use art to assist participants in reconnecting with the community, healing, and self-care. Art can be a powerful way to connect with humanity and is one of the most expressive forms of communication. As a tool for those struggling with a mental health or substance use disorder, art can be a way to express trauma, pain, and emotions in an entirely new way.

There are many benefits you may experience during our session

  • Allows for healthy emotional release
  • Serves as a method of self-expression
  • Provides stress management
  • Helps you adjust during the recovery process
  • Increases your motivation for change
  • Gives an alternative way to describe and communicate your feelings
  • Opens discussion to reduce stigma around substance use disorder

Being creative is a wonderful and essential part of human nature. There is no "right" way to be creative. Art has the power to connect, inspire, develop self-awareness, boost self-esteem, and release stress, no matter your artistic ability. Join us for Art. Heal. Create. a monthly class at the Office of Community Wellness.

I look forward to attending Art. Heal. Create. each month. I know how to expressing myself with these projects is a form healing and self-care.
