Lawn and Lawn Care

Turfgrass is hands down the most abused set of plants out there.  Overwatering is the number one form of turfgrass abuse.  Insects and fungal diseases are often a secondary problem to a stressed turfgrass.  To keep your lawn healthy, here are a few tips:

-Only water 1-1/2 inches per week during the spring and fall months
-Only water 2-21/2 inches per week during the hot summer months
-Mow turfgrass at 2 1/2 - 3 inches to promote strong roots
-Use slow-release fertilizers whenever possible
