Distinguishing Features

Size: Grows 1 to 3 feet tall, but under favorable conditions can reach over 5 feet.
Flower: Bright yellow flowers have four petals, are small, and in clusters. Mature plants form an umbrella-like canopy of flowers on top. After flowering, black seeds hang from the top.
Leaves: Bluish green with a cream colored mid rib running from base to tip. Upper leaves are smaller and clasp the stem with ear like projections.
Other: First year as a rosette. Following year, multiple stems can arise from a single base. Outer flower stalks are longer than the inner ones.
