  “Citizenship is acting with informed concern for self and others through exercising of one’s rights, duties, and responsibilities as a citizen of society.”  National 4-H Council

Developing an appreciation for local history and heritage, nurturing an awareness of environmental issues, and acquiring an understanding of societal issues are part of being a responsible citizen. Through after-school programs and activity nights, young people are encouraged to be good students and life-long learners.

4-H Youth are involved in activities that promote both life and leadership skills. These experiences help young people become effective decision-makers and productive members of society.
