The 7th Annual Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day will be on June 7, 2008 from 10 am to 2 pm!
Mark your calendars! Saturday June 7, 2008 is the 7th annual Bear River Celebration & Free Fishing Day from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Logan’s Willow Park. This celebration has become a pinnacle event in the community and brings an invaluable experience to those participating. Come join us for food, fun, hands-on activities, and to learn about water conservation, water quality, wildlife, the environment and the Bear River Watershed. Many organizations such as Hardware Ranch, USU Water Quality Extension, Common Ground Outdoor Adventures, Willow Park Zoo, Stokes Nature Center, Logan City Parks and Recreation, Utah Division of Water Quality, USU Bug Lab, Logan Environmental Department, Cache Anglers, USU Horticulture, Utah's Waterfowl Association, Utah State Parks and Recreation, and the USFS Logan Ranger District have signed up to participate in this annual event. Kids will learn how to fish at Willow Pond and participate in activities such as fly tying, fish printing, and casting lessons. There will be t-shirts given out to the first 200 youth to complete the booth activities! Participants have raved about the uniqueness, entertainment and learning value that this celebration brings to the community.
