Livestock Contest
Livestock Judging- Youth ages 8-18 will learn what to look for in a market animal. They will look at the confirmation of 4 animals in each species. (Goat, Sheep, Hog, Steer) As they examine the animals they are comparing them to find which animals is the most correct and will produce the best quality of meat.
Livestock Bowl- Youth will participate in a quiz bowl game. There will be 4 youth on a team. Each youth will receive a buzzer, when a question is read the youth will buzz in to answer. Livestock bowl is designed to help youth become more familiar with livestock terminology.

The purpose of this clinic and contest is to:
- Provide youth from across the Wasatch Front the opportunity to learn and then showcase their knowledge and skills in the livestock industry.
- Help youth prepare and compete with confidence in the annual 4-H State Contest in Logan starting in the 9th grade.
- To help the youth become more than just showman. Our hope is that the youth gain knowledge of livestock that they can use throughout their lives whether it be for personal use, becoming a livestock judge or even educating others.
Youth ages 8-18 from across the Wasatch Front. (Davis, Salt Lake, Utah and Weber Counties)
