February - Simple Slow-cooking

Come ready to enjoy a delightful supper made entirely in slow cookers! Sample appetizers, main dishes, side dishes, and desserts and learn how to save time and money by using this simple piece of equipment.

March - Using your Pressure Canner
March 17, 6 - 9pm
$6 pre-registration
$8 at the door (space permitting)
Learn the safe and proper methods of canning low-acid foods such as meats and vegetables. Bring 1 regular (not wide-mouth) pint jar and ring. Lids and product will be provided. Due to length of processing times, this class will begin at 6pm and end at 9pm. If you do not want to take home a jar from the class, please indicate this when registering for the class.

April - Top 10 Meals Under Ten Dollars

This class will focus on delicious and healthy recipes that will feed a family of four for under $10! You will sample a variety of items from all ten menus and learn how to create and use a food budget while menu planning and shopping.

May - Meals in Minutes using a Pressure Cooker

Are you feeling the "pressure" to get delicious and inexpensive meals on the table fast? This class will show you how to cook less expensive cuts of meat, dried beans, and vegetables in less time using a pressure cooker. Delicious recipes will be available for sampling.

July - "Roll" into the Holidays

This hands-on class will discuss making delicious rolls for every holiday! We will focus time on various shapes including crescents, rosettes, cloverleaf, fantans, and cinnamon rolls. We will also show you how to make the National Festival of Breads 2009 winning recipe!

September - Canning Soups and Sauces

October - Knead to Know: Sourdough and Artisan Breads

This fun class on specialty breads will focus on using sourdough and extended fermentation times to make delicious artisan type breads. Tips and tricks of the trade will be shared as well as delicious samples!

Have you ever had a pie crust turn out wrong? Come to our class to learn how to make the perfect pie crust every time! Enjoy samples of various pie crust recipes and learn tips and tricks to turn out delicious and easy homemade pies.
