4-H youth programs offer a variety of fun and educational programs for kids ages 8 (must be in the 3rd grade) through 12th grade. Our youth programs include after-school clubs, youth camps, and community, project, and family clubs. The youth programs offered by 4-H include over 100 project areas from outdoor recreation to robotics. Check out our 4-H youth programs event calendar for upcoming events and programs.
To get involved in one of our 4-H youth programs you must complete the Member Registration Form and take it to the 4-H Office. If you would like to become a leader, complete the Leader Registration Form and take it to the 4-H Office. 4-H youth programs are provided through Utah State University Cooperative Extension offices in each county. Thousands of youth in Utah participate in 4-H youth programs every year. 4-H youth programs is part of a network of 6 million young people across America learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Dedicated volunteers provide the framework for our youth programs and we are always looking for dedicated and responsible volunteers who want to share their time and talents with youth. UPCOMING CLASSES AND EVENTS
4-H Sew Club
Youth grades 3rd and up will do a variety of projects chosen by them. RSVP Thursdays before class to 435-277- 2409. Cost $6. Watch this site or the local newspaper or 4-H newsletter for dates and details.
4-H Portfolio Workshops
If you need help starting or improving your 4-H portfolio, we can help you. There are 2 portfolio workshops scheduled for 4-Hers, leaders, and parents on Wednesday, May 11th at 3:00 pm, and Monday, June 6th at 1:00 pm. If you can't make these dates, but need help, call the office at 277-2401.
4-H Mock Legislature
4-H Youth arrive at the Utah State Capital on April 26th as "Representatives for a Day". They present bills, debate, and vote on them. This is a lot of fun, and a unique experience. This is for 4-H youth in high school this year. Applications are due March 15th. Space is limited so hurry and register. Call 277-2401.
4-H Adventure Camp
4-Hers in 7th and 8th grade, come bring your sleeping bag and prepare for a real camping experience at Flaming Gorge! June 13-15, or June 15-17. For more information, call the 4-H Office at 277-2401.
4-H Demonstrations Contests
4-H Demonstration Contests are June 2nd. High School age 4-Hers can compete at State 4-H Contests. Call the 4-H Office for more information, 277-2401.
4-H Summer Camp is June 21-23 at Ophir Campground. This year is an overnight camp. Bring your tent or camp trailer, because this is a family event. Activities and projects are created around a theme.
