New Master Gardener Classes

Class Description

Master Gardener course participants attend 14 weeks of college-level lecture and hands on training taught by Utah State University Extension Specialists and Extension Faculty.   After completion of the in-class training, USU Master Gardeners become an integral part of the educational community while sharing their research-based knowledge through volunteer service (see below).  

Master Gardener classes in Tooele will begin January 25, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., and will run each Tuesday and Thursday for 1/25-3/17, 2022. Earlybird registration fee is $165 per person until January 11, 2022 after which the registration fee is $200. The registration cost includes all materials. To receive a Master Gardener's certificate, class participants must also contribute volunteer service hours in various service projects. Hands on learning through volunteering occurs from May through October.

Volunteering with Master Gardeners

Volunteering is the heart and soul of the program.  To receive final Master Gardener Certification, participants must complete 40 hours of approved USU service projects. If you are interested in volunteering, please notify:
